To empower vulnerable children in Liberia by providing them with access to a high standard of education, healthcare, good nutrition and much-needed inspiration and motivation to improve the quality of their lives and ensure that they live happier, healthier lives and are able to realize their full potential.

At Ri’ayah, one of our goal is to provide children with educational tools and opportunities that will inspire them to become independent thinkers and future leaders to build a better tomorrow. By assisting children to survive to reach adulthood, we enable them to become self-supporting individuals who are able to care for themselves, their families, and contribute significantly to the future of their community.

Programs are currently in progress to create fresh water sources and train local personnel to maintain them. Education concerning the water sources will include the importance of fresh, sanitary water to health. Currently, diseases such as hepatitis A and E and typhoid fever are widespread because of the practice of drinking from the same river water used for body waste disposal.

It is our aim to empower girls to become a contributing and productive part of society. Ri’ayah was founded with a vision to empower girls to become a contributing and productive part of their community. We believe all humans have the ability to overcome obstacles, and if given the right motivation and resources, they can achieve wonders. This is what we aim for with our mission of empowering girls from the most socially and economically disadvantaged communities of Liberia.
