Dr. George Samah

Director
Brief info

Born March 15, 1953, Dr. Samah is married with children. A Liberian patriot, he was born to humble beginnings in the town of Dozinalor in the red hills and farmlands of Zorzor District, Lofa County. His goal in life has been to do all that it takes to be like others, despite the lack of resources at his disposal. Now a highly qualified C-level executive, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Finance. A former program director at World Health Organization (WHO), he has considerable financial experience and the ability to scrutinize relevant financial statements while paying close attention to cash, cost management and working capital in a sound corporate governance environment. With hands-on experience in all company/business processes, he is recognized for monitoring and evaluating special projects with governments, United Nations (UN) bodies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in public and private sectors.

Experienced in motivating multicultural staff under difficult conditions, he has worked in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, North America and at UN Headquarters in New York. His skill in project monitoring and financial analysis is a major asset to our team. Seeking truly global ventures to lead dynamic teams and achieve organizational targets, he has always left a strong footprint while mitigating gaps and effectively resolving inter-departmental conflicts. His most recent personal efforts in 2017 placed over $100,000 worth of medical equipment into Montserrado County’s healthcare facilities in Monrovia, Liberia. He currently serves as the People’s Representative of District 12, Montserrado County, Liberia, and continues to serve his country in every way possible, including the donation of his time and efforts as a member of the Ri’ayah Foundation’s Board of Directors. We are blessed to have him on our team.
